Damascus to Pearisburg [Archive]

Planning a Spring hike from Pearisburg to Damascus. I was hoping to leave my car in Damascus and hike down to it. Just called the Mt Rog outfitters for a shuttle reservation and was a little surprised by the price. Does anyone have any less pricey shuttle suggestions???

Go to the Hooking Up forum and see if you can either (a) find someone to hike with you and do your own swap or (b) find someone and hike in opposite directions. I knocked out a lot of section hikes by meeting someone on here and swapping keys. That way you can hike back to your own car at your own pace.

I highly recommend you take Lone Wolf up on his offer. He shuttled me to Atkins in June 2007. He can answer any of your questions about this section and the AT in general.

I am a Friend of the doctors, and I too am hiking nearly this same hike only a day later on the start. Any Chance on a shuttle the same way, next day?
