Hi all,
We will be visiting PA in late May and doing a one day hike on a section of the AT. We are not campers and have been lucky enough to be offered a pick up ride from the end of our hike back to our car where we started. Right now, we are looking at hiking from Port Clinton to Eckville/Hawk Mountain area. We could also do this the other way--Eckville/Hawk Mountain to Port Clinton.
My problem is finding a modestly priced place to stay that is not too far from the trailhead where we will start. We will want to start the hike close to sunrise and don't want to drive too far to get to our starting point.
Any suggestions?
