Is the post office in Troutdale still open? I need to send them a box for hold till about May 7th through 10th. I figure it will take about 7-10 days for my package to arrive from Chicago priority mail... I've tried to call them directly, but they don't answer the phone.
Have you tried calling between ~8am and noon eastern time? Maybe they are open short hours & few days. If that is true, hitting a pick up during their hours could be tricky. Try calling a larger regional post office in the neighborhood and asking them about Troutdale P.O. Somebody in the USPS must know.

As far as I know it's still open, and PM only takes 2-3 days.

Thanks everyone! They are only open from 8 to 12 during the week. Thats fine with me! I was planning a zero to stay at the baptist church hostle. Roof over my head,shower...AS long as I make Damascus by Trail Days, I'm a happy camper!

Goggle took me to Oregon. I am oriented West. Couldn't hurt to include state names. I thought 10-K was opening a hostel in Scotland.

This is on the USPS site. Looks like they are open in the morning.
Last year when we stopped in they were open longer hours (so it looks like the hours we put in the Companion are wrong :( ) But that is happening to a lot of rural POs these days.
I live 3 miles from the PO and it is open 8:30 to 12:30.

I too need a maildrop around dickey gap, planning on staying at the troutdale Baptist church on the evening of the 11th sunday in may. this will be my last resupply point before making Damascus and the trail days festival. Jerry's is no more, and creekside doesn't seem to exist on the web or any new guides... do they accept MD like jerry's did or is the post office the only option left in Troutdale? I would rather avoid the post office, since they will be closed upon arrival and I don't want to get jammed up in the morning on Monday the 12th.
