Trail Closure Signs

It seems there was a fire somewhere along the AL Pinhoti south of Burns TH over the weekend. I was alarmed to find a trail closed sign at Burns TH Co Rd 55, Rabbitown Rd southbound from there. I called the Shoal Creek office to ask about where the southern boundary of this closure was (around Coleman Lake I expected) and she assured me that the fires had been extinguished and that the trail was officially opened. It might take them a couple more day to take down the caution tape and remove the signage. Hike on!!

Yeah, they are a little slow at times.
They still have the notices posted at TH's around Cheaha about the 23 trees down from an ice storm.
I suppose they didn't count the hundred + that John Calhoun and I cleared.
