View Full Version : Resupply ? between Erwin and
Hot Springs going SOBO. Can't find my guide book but I recall that stretch being about 70 miles or so. I am taking my wife plus 2 young ladies who have never backpacked. I am allowing 6 (+/-) days but don't want them to carry 6 days of food if at all possible. Is there a place to resupply halfway between these two places? Thanks

Hemlock Hollow is the only options, but it is only 17 miles from Hot Springs, another day and a half away. So, it doesn't save you much in the way of food weight, but it is a nice place to stay.
4shot, you could send a drop to us and we could bring it to you at Devil's Fork Gap - that's about exactly the halfway point.
Just be the shuttle fee of $25 - call us from Flint Mt. Gap shelter and we'll be there waiting on you with it.
