Can anyone tell me about trail conditions from April 21-May 2, 2014 between High Point Shelter to Great Barrington Mass? Are any parts in Conn flooded or closed due to flooding?

I'll be in Great Barrington tomorrow and maybe report back.

well this week (it is April 18 as I write this) there has been flooding along the Connecticut River and the Pemigewasett in NH. You may not encounter flooding but you'll almost certainly encounter muddy trails! Very muddy trails! It should be early enough in the season so that bugs won't be a problem.

The CT river is nowhere near the AT, though.
But if the Housatonic flooded...

AT crosses Connecticut River just west of Hanover, NH.

The OP asked if any parts of CT were flooded - OP isn't hiking into NH.

There will be snow in the higher elevations, for sure. Down by the major road crossings the snow is all gone. I was in Great Barrington yesterday, Williamstown earlier today. Sunny with temps in the 50-60 degree range all weekend. Greylock auto road still closed.

Trail was passable for the first ten minutes north out of North Adams. That's as far as we went. I was with my wife it was just a short morning stroll.
