I am going to be doing a 7 day section hike May 24-31 and thought I would stop by here and get some good suggestions. I will be going with my girlfriend and one of our friends and am thinking about averaging 10-15 mi days. I would like to stay out of the main thru hiker bubble so I thought maybe if we started just north of the GSMNP and went NOBO we would be good? Ideally, we would like to park our car on the northern end of our hike and get a shuttle SOBO.
