Thinking of doing a day hike from Chesire, MA up to Mt. Greylock, any suggestions for parking near Chesire, MA?

There is tons of parking in Cheshire, including at a converted railroad bikepath right near the trial. There is also a little sandwich / ice cream store there across the street.

Be sure to check out the monument to John Leeland and "The Big Cheese". The people of Cheshire made a 1235 lb cheddar cheese and sent it to President Thomas Jefferson in 1802 to honor his election. The monument is on Chruch Street.

Trail goes down a residential street, as I recall (it's been a few years.) There's also this link for checking out trailhead parking anywhere on the AT:

When we did this hike, we parked along the rail trail on Railroad Street, just a bit north of Main Street. That's just a few feet from the AT.

Thank you magneto, rafe and burger - super helpful. Looks like from the link and your posts the rail trail/Railroad St. parking in Chesire is the way to go. Thanks!
