Anyone have experience or informed opinions on the use of Inversion Tables for therapy for low back issues, such as lumbar disc bulge and/or herniated disc, sciatica? The concept seems to make sense, stretch the spinal vertebra to take stress of the discs in the spine. Have been looking them over, "Teeter Hang-Up" is the #1 brand......although my orthopedic doctor advised against using them, with concerns about hyper-extension or stroke. tia

Inversion tables temporarily help but for long term , build core strength ,which will stabilize the lower back. Also in my case, losing excess weight helped.

I think they're terrific. We have a Teeter and it works extremely well for both my husband and me.

We bought it because my husband was prescribed a series of "rack" treatments by a chiropractor. The series, which wouldn't be covered by insurance, was going to cost $1200. We decided to buy a Teeter instead. And aren't sorry.
