Trip report from NCT in Pennsylvania

If anyone is interested I recently did a 70 mile section of the NCT in the Allegheny national forest

Did you smell the oil too?

The only smell we had was along cherry run near where it crosses PA 948 and on the state gamelands. There was some build making a loud noise along cherry run and it smelled like natural gas. We thought we might have to camp there but we found better sites a little ways up away from the noise and smell. In the gamelands there was a pipe that was obviously leaking gas. It was suprising that pipe wasn't leaking more as it looked old and had some had obviously been patched in places.
