I am thinking of doing an overnighter in this area next month and have some questions about side trails shown on the AT map. Specifically, I see one named Pinnacle Spur Trail that goes from the AT north of the Pinnacle back to the AT south of the Pinnacle near Pocahontas. Is this trail blazed and open? I also see a little side trail going down Rattling Run from the Pinnacle Spur Trail that looks like it might be a scenic hike. Any information about these trails and/or any of the others in the area would be appreciated. I would also be interested in whether there are any nice campsites in the little section of Weiser State forest in that vicinity.I am aware of the camping restrictions on the Hamburg Watershed Lands and the State Game Lands.
