My brother has an old Hank Roberts stove, looks like the Mark III, which he bought new back in the 1970's when he was backpacking. I have read you can no longer get the type of fuel canister for these, but can use another butane can with a different style of wick but have to get an adaptor in order for this to work. Does anybody make these adaptors and sell them? Thanks, James.

Here is a link to Hiking Jim's blog that discusses a mod to have these old stoves work. http://adventuresinstoving.blogspot.com/2011/08/hank-roberts-mini-stove-mark-iii.html?m=1 I hope this helps and you get the old stove up and running.

I still have one of those Hank Roberts stoves also.
It was a good stove when you could get the fuel.
I would buy one of those adapters if anyone ever finds them.

I got the stove today. It is the Mark II model not the Mark III like I had thought. I guess the person who use to make the adaptors can't be reached any longer.
