Does anyone have any experience with this stove? I have tried to make my own alcohol stove but screw up almost every time, so I thought I would just buy one. Thanks for the input.

I dont have any experience with the hike n light, having never bought a stove (but extensively used a whisperheavy in the past)

You ever thought of making a supercat stove? I dont believe you can screw one of those up. I even have a couple extra and could send you a new one for a couple dollars. They are probably the simplest stove there is, and I am a big believer in KISS (hence why I only got half way though making a soda can).

One hint, try starting the holes witha thumb tac and then finishing them off with a drill or your choice of tool.

Good Luck

I bought my first alcohol stove, too...I don't have any experience with the one mentioned (to answer your question).

Mine came from www.antigravitygear.com (http://www.antigravitygear.com) and is made by whiteblazer TinMan. I also bought the solo kit (which I've modified since then. I am pleased with all his products and they are reasonably priced.

Because they cost so little I have 3 of them on their way to me as we "speak" if for nothing else but some new "toys" to tinker with. He has about 8 or so models for sale on his site and some neat videos to watch.
