ATC Headquarters in Harpers Ferry will be staying open until 7pm this week (through Saturday June 7). Thru-hikers coming from Bears Den Hostel who eat breakfast there will have a good chance of getting here before we close to check in and get their photo taken.
This is on a trial basis. If we get a lot of hikers and some other visitors we'll continue to stay open later through June.
We couldn't do it without the help of many amazing volunteers and our dedicated staff.
It's been great meeting all the class of 2014 members so far and we look forward to meeting a lot more! We're up to 397 northbound thru-hiker photos at ATC this year, which is up more than 25% on this day last year.
