Long Creek Falls is located in an area called “Three Forks” near Dahlonega, Georgia where the Benton McKaye Trail separates from the Appalachian Trail. Here is some video footage I shot and edited.

what did you use to film it? My 48fr HD camera won't do that great. even in cinema mode.

And nice video. I love to see local trails

Thanks, Shot with Panasonic GH4 1080p 60fps at 200Mbps. Lenses used included Panasonic 14-45mm, 45-175mm and Olympus 60mm macro. I am really liking this camera. I sold my professional Panasonic HPX170 video camera to finance my new kit. I have also, cut my gear weight in half.

Gorgeous video. Bravo!

Are the falls not right on the AT any more? I remember being there on my first day out from Springer.

The falls are about a quarter mile off trail. Well worth the distance, lovely place.

Was it always a side trip to the falls? I don't remember it that way. Maybe one of the other old geezers knows. LW? Anybody?

From the parking area on FS Road 58 head east on the AT about one mile. The falls is on the left via a short 200' spur trail.
