I've been out walking
I don't do too much talking these days, these days
These days I seem to think a lot
About the things that I forgot to do
And all the times I had the chance to
I stopped my ramblin'
I don't do too much gamblin' these days, these days
These days I seem to think about
How all the changes came about my way
And I wonder if I'll see another highway

wow. that's crazy (in an awesome way).

I'm looking at your map. That "path" doesn't look familiar. Is that path named something? Or did you basically just pick your path and points to visit, and thats why it looks like that?

You would have to on round about ramble to cover 9,000 miles going coast to coast.

"He abstained from technology – no phone, no computer, no GPS to get him through the mountains of Utah and the deserts of New Mexico. Just a map and a large-format film camera."

Way to go. I applaud his fortitude. Mr. Adams would be proud.
I hope he publishes a book of photographs.

did you still regularly gargle and make noises with your mouth? I would think i year without speaking would have an effect on your that, unless regular throat exercises.

MicPick isn't the silent traveler, Greg Hindy is the guy you want to ask. On another note, that dude put in 24.6 miles a day for a year!!! I understand a ton of his journey was flat but still....that's beast!

...while toting 4x5 film gear. In case you don't know, the camera is only the tip of the iceberg of gear required to use a sheet film camera.
Folks today think I was crazy to backpack with a medium format camera.
You gotta do what you gotta do.

WOW!

"It's an entire way of life, to move from point to point as fast as possible so as to alot more time for TV commercials and internet gossip..." -Greg Hindy

I like where his head is.

"
He plans to walk home to New Hampshire. And he's keeping his long hair and beard to "better fit in with the people of the road," Carl Hindy said."

What an.. accurate stereotype.
