Conditions look good for a "moonlight traverse" of the Presidentials section of the AT this weekend.

Clear weather - maybe some localized fog to spoil the party - temps in the 40s - but moonrise is at 6:57 PM on Saturday, moonset at 4:20 AM Sunday morning. The moon will be 98% illuminated, rising to 40 degrees above the local horizon at meridian transit. The moon will rise on an azimuth of 110 degrees and set at 246 degrees.

Tempting...

Great conditions except evening temps along the ridgeline are expected to be in the 40s possibly less

Mid 40's is not bad while hiking

I hope the weather works for you. Do be carefully out there.

Thanks - another good reason: the moon is a perigee and will appear even lager normal. It may be worth dragging some real camera gear up there as well...
