Going to do the Standing Indian Loop this coming Sat-Sun of Labor Day weekend. Wish I could get out for a longer hike, but life gets in the way! Wanted to know if anybody has first-hand info on the water sources at Carter Gap shelter and Mooney Gap. I've done this loop many times before, just not at this dry time of year. The local Chatanooga TV weathermen say we are over 5 inches below yearly precip at this time. Any info would be helpful. Hope to see some fellow Whiteblazers out on the trail - daddytwosticks :)
