Planning to hike AT through SNP next week. Have a drop off for Rockfish Gap. Need to know where is the easiest place for them to drop us off. thanks!

There's a pull off parking area for 8 cars at Rockfish Gap.

The last paragraph pretty much sums up the situation.
Depending on your level of courage, you could park it at the long-closed, former Howard Johnson; at the (still operating) Afton Inn; or down in Waynesboro and get a shuttle.

I don't live far from there so if you would feel safer leaving your car in Waynesboro, I could shuttle you to the trail.
