Amicalola State Park - Approach Trail to Springer

Planning to vist daughter in Atlanta. I would like to hike Approach Trail to Springer. I believe it is about 9 miles. Seeking recommendations on shuttle service and if we should hike to Springer or shuttle to Springer and hike back to Approach Trail.

Thank you for recommendation. That is what I thought, but wanted to ask. You live in a a great area. Visted Damascus a couple times this summer, i.e., Mt Rogers/GH hike and Creeper Trail to Abington.

Springer to Amicalola will be mainly downhill, so it will be at your leisure

If knees are good, hike down. Approach Trail is no joke.
