My pack has only a small hipbelt pocket. I would like something for snacks and water bottles. Any suggestions ?
Zpacks has a few options. rei has eagle pack it is light. I could cut up an old Hawaiian shirt, Why sew something for 2 hrs. if you can buy it for $10 opinions?

Take the BRAIN off your pack, rig it so it will hang in front with the zipper up use it like a feed bag.

The brain is sewn to the pack . Yea and I bought the right zipper from Xmart. But geez I hate the idea of taking siczors to my pack .
I am a good seamster.

I hook two gatorade bottles to my shoulder straps using small bungee loops. Close to zero cost/weight.

Quick and dirty- sew a small channel the width of your hipbelt along the outside of a stuff sack.
Then you can make the perfect size for you.

Same with chest or shoulder mounted water.

I made a water bottle bag to hang off the belt of my pack with some fabric extras I had lying around. 2nd time was the charm. Turned out to be good practice. Worked out pretty good. Cost = $0.00.

Several manufacturers, and not just UL cottage hiking gear manufacturers offering sometimes pricey items, offer inexpensive pouches that attach to shoulder straps.
