I would like to hear about any Tip Tricks or gear you have made (MYOG make your own gear) You may have hear of them or learned it yourself Ill get us stated.
Tip....No matter how hard it is don't walk into town at the end of the day. Stop a couple miles short so when you get up in the morning you can walk in and have breakfast. Then do laundry and resupply. Have lunch with a little beer and when your done with that you can have have diner with a little beer. The next day breakfast and your back on the trail without a zero. Zeros cost you a lot of money so be careful with them. If you go in to town in the evening theres no time to do laundry or resupply. So by the time you do it the next day it will be to late to get back on the trail
Trick....I always keep the lint after I dry my clothes in town to help start a fire.
MYOG...I made my camp shoes out of waterproof Tyvek booties. I first cut a for sale sign in the shape of my foot and glued it to a waterproof Tyvek booty. It only weigh about 10 grams each and works ok but not the best in the winter. I use it for checking for blueberries in the middle of the night. Thats the only reason I get up so many time at night you never know when they come out. Of corse since Im up I might as well go pee.
