During the next month there will be closures of the West Mountain Shelter or partial closures of its fireplaces while they are being restored. Signs will stay up to warn of the closure but when you arrive at times you may find it usable. Repairs are expected to be completed by completed by November 2.
The park has been doing aesbestos remediation and restoration of the shelter, and the roof and interior deck have already been replaced.
