View Full Version : Total Lunar Eclipse tomorrow morning just before dawn...

Just a heads up.

Should be a nice looking total lunar eclipse for viewing/pic taking. Look west just before dawn. For easterners, the moon will be setting when it's fully eclipsed, so make sure you have an unobstructed view to the west. It will be slightly better out west (higher above the horizon when fully eclipsed).

Same...had some clouds move in low right about full eclipse, and when they cleared the Earth had spun to the East and the moon was below my vantage point...try again next time. :sun

Got a short view, then the moon went behind a solid wall of clouds in the far western sky.

We camped out at a nearby state park, got up at 4am to watch, mostly cloudy and hazy but managed to get one decent pic.
