I just rock the orange. So does Snacktime.

And yeah, I was Out There a few days ago. With orange tuque, orange pack cover and orange vest.

re: tuque

Now there's a phrase I have not heard in a long time. The French-Canadian nuns, and many people in RI (with it's French-Canadian descent population) used that word instead of beanie.

Only a hoser would not wear blaze orange in hunting season! :D

Being serious, this little article is great. No need to buy extra clothing for head gear.

Just wear it with your normal head gear.

thanks for the reminder Mags, grabbing our Blaze Orange right now; we're heading up for a three-day Lost Creek wilderness climbing trip this weekend; that's Hunter's Central up there.

Indeed. The hunters were pleasantly surprised when we wore the blaze orange. They really do appreciate it based on their words.

Have fun!

It's all part of my standard load--bright colors. Summer and winter.

Make sure when you purchase your backpacking t-shirt it's a bright color. You're gonna be wearing it every day anyway, so let it work for you.

And when you get around to getting a rain jacket, find one like this in bright orange.

And if it gets really bad you can drape your rain jacket over the pack.
