confusing story........made the distinction of Section versus thru. Said she started, on a 183 mile hike? Given her spring start, I assume they just got the miles WAY wrong.

I met her in Virginia this spring, and she is indeed a cool lady and a strong hiker. Very down to earth. She told me she completed the AT several years ago as a section hiker. I'm glad she made it.

I posted my encounter with Drag'n Fly and her hiking partner, Freckles, here (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?106982-Prosthetic-arm-difficult-sections&p=1916892&viewfull=1#post1916892), with pictures of her Katahdin ascent.

I think they meant 2183 miles.
