Since I have gone over to an alcohol stove, I would like to make a pot cozy. Rather than buying a large roll of reflectix that I will not use up, does anyone have enough for a 12cm Imusa pot they'd like to get a few bucks for?

If you don't mind a few creases, car windshield sunshades are about $
7 for the reflectix kind.

30 feet by "what"? Lowe's sells various lengths and widths (Home Depot, too, I think). I think their widest width is 4 feet...can't remember how long, though. 30 feet would make a heck of a big personal shelter, but it won't breathe (gasp, wheeze, pant)....

You can get a 16"x25' roll from Home Depot for $16.

NO pot involved - a stealth camper vehicle, A Dodge caravan and a cot with winter capabilities.

I am hoping that, "hold my beer and watch this," is not Iinvolved. :)

I've used the windshield "sunshades" on all of the windows of my Aerostars for years - mostly to provide shade for the dogs (it's AMAZING how much cooler the interior stays when the sun can't heat up the interior) - and for privacy when camping. Not too successful with "winterizing" the van, because without heat, no amount of insulation will hold in your body heat, and with a heat source, you have to provide both fresh air AND positive ventilation (read "a stovepipe of some sort") or you'll wake up dead! Now, if you made a Reflectix cocoon for yourself....

Buy one of those insulated, reusable shopping bags that have the foil, inner layer. You can cut the bag to make a cozy and sew it together instead of taping. The cloth outer layer will act like a pot holder.

My wife made me a cozy using Insulbrite, a material used in pot holders. Tried to add photo, but it wouldn't take.

Also, for those who might be interested, you can DIY your own with this kit from Anti Gravity Gear. That's what I did.
