I'm a long time hasher from Florida, and I just had a thought! Are there any H3's along the AT? Any active hashers that have kennels in trail towns? I'd love to take a day off of the AT to hash if I could.

I like hash but really prefer scrapple.

Sorry, I just had to do it. Not a hasher here.

What is a hasher? I Googled it and this is all I found:

"waiter or waitress, especially in a hash house (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/hash%20house)."

You want to take time off from the trail to be a waiter?

Why do hashers have kennels? I'm confused. I thought a kennel was a place you park a dog when you're going away.

Because a kennel is where you would traditionally keep a harrier.

Either the OP has a dog and needs a place to put it while hashing or since the origins of Hashing is foxhunting, the chasers are called hounds, and perhaps a kennel is the term for where the hounds get together for the hunt.

I'm curious about this and await the answer, sounds like fun.
