Max Patch FS parking lot to Roaring Fork

Can anyone estimate the distance from FS Parking lot at Max Patch to the Roaring Fork Shelter? Also have read Shelter to Max Patch summit to be 1.8 miles. Anyone concur with this?

According to atdist.com it's 2.6 miles. Factoring in your 1.8 mile summit number I'd probably overestimate and call it 3 miles.
