Hi-

It seems to me that my Iraq/Afghan era gear might be useful-anyone else use the second generation Gortex jacket and gear?

I used gen 2 ecwcs for a couple of years until I could afford to upgrade to lighter equipment. Like others have said down side is weight. I still wear mine for Bush wacking because it not as fragile as some UL gear.

Thanks- you must layer with the jacket shell then.
