Nice article, thanks.....BUT......(Not to be a complete noodge, but Rt 80 is NOT central Jersey.)

Agree Teacher! It is a great hike though ... a little tough going up, but I did it when I had just quit smoking so it really took my breath away. Would love to do it again!

The hike is a good workout, and the views are wonderful, but the REAL quandry lies in what to do afteward. Do you hit Hot Dog Johnny's on 46 in Buttzville, or do you hit the bakery in Delaware Water Gap, PA?

Hot Dog Johnny's for me. I've been stopping there since I was in my mother's belly -- over 40 years! We lived in PA and NJ and always stopped when travelling to visit. 1/2 my family still lives out in PA and we still stop there 1/2 a dozen times a year. We could take the quicker way out, but always take the "scenic route" so we can stop.
