View Full Version : Don't forget to do your taxes!!!
I was doing some math on my thru hike for 2015.And just remembered that I will get my tax returns while on the trail with direct deposit.my original budget was 5-7000$ and just realized I paid all my debt off including student loans.i've been living with the parents so I can afford this adventure.I just got noticed that I will be getting a bonus from work as well.and my 6 month time of work has been approved.I am so excited cause now my budget is 10000-12000$ (not including gear plane ticket shoes and I have back up gear of everything).
So where my party people at!!

Dang! You'll be living high on (or off) the trail! Nice to know you'll have enough, eh?
I probably won't spend it all but just knowing that it's there if I need it is a HUGE relief.
With that kind of money, I'd try for two long distance hikes. (AT and PCT)

unfortunately I'm stuck in a lease and saving up money has been a slower process.....but come time I should have enough....if not, screw it I'm going anyways and I'll find Jake27 on the trail and mooch off him
