Has anyone ever used a onesie or footsie pajamas on the trail? I use a pair on really cold winter days under my clothes and it always keeps me perfectly toasty. If I could find a lightweight fleece or even synthetic pair I think it could be a good layer to have.

I think most will agree seperate bottoms and a top will be more versatile on the trail. Alot of people hike in shorts, and when its cold, they wear there long underwear bottoms underneath their shorts while hiking.

In the end, you'll prob send it home, and end up with a suitable trail name.

There is something to be said for not having a seam around your waist. I often get a cold spot around the middle sleeping with separate tops and bottoms, as the top will ride up and separate. I wore a one piece wool/synthetic blend union suit for 4 solid months as a winter caretaker. Too bad I've "grown" out a bit over the years since then and it no longer fits and can't find a suitable replacement.

A lot easier to pee if I don't have to get undressed.
