I am a weekend and week long section hiker. My total 3 season pack weight including 5 days food and 2 liters of water is 29 to 30 lbs and with several gear upgrades I should be down to 25.

Current pad, thermarest self inflator, 2 lb, large packed size. I like the 2 1/2 inch thick, my old bones can't handle thin pads. A neoair at 12 oz would be nice, but the $150 approx. cost seems high.

I am looking at a Klymit Static V2 http://www.klymit.com/index.php/products-1/sleeping-pads/static-v2.html , at 16 to 17 oz it is a little heavier than the neoair, but for $60 it looks like a good deal, and I think I can sacrifice the 5 oz for $90 less.

Comments? Thoughts?

I paid $119 for the XTherm Small.

I had a NeoAir wm's XS that was stolen.

I like the shorter sleeping mat, my legs insulated by my backpack.

It is a better price. Look around online, more. Use different words for Search.
