Looking for a good 35-45 mile section over max patch to do this winter....must be outside gsmnp as will be hiking with my dog...traction devices needed?

I plan to do I-40/standing bear hostel to hot springs, which is a 33.1 mile section. If you are looking for a hiking partner, let me know. I plan on doing it in 2 days.
