Has anyone been through Peter's Mountain shelter recently? How's the spring looking?

A pack of coyotes have been close to the shelter for about three years. Going down that steep hill to get the water .... if your young - look out.

I was there in early November 2014 and it was flowing fine.
water source has a nice flow but it is one of the steeper sources and all those rocks makes it will fun.

Has anyone been through here lately and care to report on the water flow? Thanks in advance.

There is plenty of water in that area. I regularly hike it. The trail to the spring is challenging. It is steep, steep, steep. I avoid it and pull water from other sources along the way.
Hi,
Are there any campsites to pitch a tent between the Peters Mountain Shelter and Clark's Creek at route 325?

If I recall correctly, there is a spring .6 or so before the Creek and Road that you can probably find a spot to camp at. I did not make note of any campsites or take any pictures so I am going from memory. Someone from the area can hopefully confirm.

I'll bring my own young Coyote along.

Is there any water and/or campsites north of the shelter for the next couple of miles?

The next reliable water is 6.4 miles and tenting is 5 miles north. If I may ask, what guide are you using to plan your section?

I seem to remember what Capehiker said. The water is quite a ways down a steep hill but there is a spot for 3-4 tents just past (~.1) the shelter on the left.

I've got guthook's app. We've got a short first day to Peters mountain and I thought we might walk on a little to avoid going down the steep trail to the water at Peters but no big deal. Thanks for the info.
