The Appalachian Trail Conservancy has a number of trail-related job openings next year. A Trail Information Associate position based in Harpers Ferry is already posted at appalachiantrail.org/jobs (http://www.appalachiantrail.org/jobs) and will start early in the year.

This week, look for postings for ridgerunners, caretakers, and other seasonal position (deadline for those is usually Jan. 15 or Jan. 31). Most of those positions begin mid-May.

The ridgerunner/caretaker application has now been posted at appalachiantrail.org/jobs (http://www.appalachiantrail.org/jobs). We are also continuing to accept applications for the Trail Information Associate until January 9.

We are entering a new era with the incredibly fast rate of change in technology and communication, ATC's embrace of clear strategic goals (http://www.appalachiantrail.org/who-we-are/our-mission-vision-values/strategic-plan), and the impacts of two big-screen hiking-related films to hit theaters in 2015.

These jobs we have posted relate to most or all ATC's strategic goals for the next 5 years:

Effective stewardship
Proactive protection
Broader relevancy
Engaged partners
Strengthened capacity & operational excellence

If you have the skills and passion to help ATC achieve these goals by working in these positions, we hope you'll apply.

Can we nominate you for trail information associate?
Or are you already that candidate's boss?

Trail Information Associate sounds like a great opportunity, definitely applying to that one. Just curious, do you think my chances of getting a call for an interview would be increased if I mentioned that I was a WB member? :D
