Music On The Trail?

Planning a thru hike this year and what I am going to probably miss the most is going to music festivals and live music venues in general. Anybody have any ideas about opportunities for such along the way?

Newport Folk festival is in late July and you should be in New England then, after that I think when u hit New Hampshire u could really care less and will be dialed in to katahdin. I'd be careful of leaving the trail for too long, it's often a precursor to quiting. Stay focused on the task at hand. It's a job. You'll have your hands full. Enjoy!

Harmonicas have been seen and heard on many a trail....:cool:

I have even come across a guy that packed a mandolin.....:eek::eek:
