This weekend I hiked to beautiful Blackberry Falls in SGL 13 near Jamison City. SGL 13 is famous for all its waterfalls and beautiful gorges and glens. Jamison City has been called the "City of Waterfalls", due to all the waterfalls nearby. I passed an active bear den and some interesting cliffs on the steep climb over loose, wet rock. I then descended to the stream to see the falls. The creek was pristine, with many cascades and slides over bedrock. I hiked up the stream to see old growth ash trees, something I had not seen before. They were quite large. There were even more falls and cascades upstream, with some great swimming holes. I had to turn around due to rain and fading light. I wanted to explore more. What a beautiful place. Enjoy.
