Does anybody know of a website that sells silnylon rain covers for a pack in blaze orange? (Don't want to be mistaken for a four-legged critter during deer season)

I know that Dancing Light Gear sells them, but they don't ship to Georgia residents. I couldn't Google anything up at first glance. Located one on Cabela's site, but I'd like it in silnylon.

I don't have a sewing machine, or I might be tempted to try and crank one out myself. :)

Thanks!

For a pretty big pack, by the description

Sly, you got there just before I did.

Used to sell silnylon pack covers I have an orange and a blue one of theirs...it's great. I don't see it on their current website, but I bet they could easily make one for you. Tin Man helped me out with a new windscreen and primer for my stove. They're great people. I highly recommend them.

I don't have one, but the Jacks have been good to buy other items from, and they have a good reputation. Rather than buy one of these, I've decided to try my hand at making one from an old cover I have laying around that is about the same size ... but I do like that blaze orange, so I may end up getting one if my experiment doesn't work out.

I did see the ATC one, but yeah, I thought it looked sorta big.

But, I completely forgot about Just Jeff's ... duh! I've been on JRB's site dozens of times and purchased their products before! Getting old and forgetful I suppose.

Thanks!

How about getting a friend from outside of Ga. to order what you need ?

I knew I had seen it somewhere, and by the time I get back to post, it seems everyone beat me to it. I had seen the same one at the ATC store...

Beware, I think the ATC one is only for external frame packs.... which is really weird!!!!

For an alternative you might check out the hunter section of your local WalMart or a sporting-goods store. Sometimes you can find lightweight blaze orange items--like a swatch of plastic or a syn watch cap--that may work well enough to use.

I use garbage bags for a pack cover, after Halloween when those orange "jack o'lantern" leaf bags are marked down and I pick up a few. And remember - you're not always going to be wearing your pack. Check out the hunting dept for blaze orange bandannas and caps, pick up some orange tape to mark your tent, and avoid wearing white clothing.

Etowah outfitters sells them in 2 or 3 different sizes, thats where I bought mine. I dont know if they have a website or not but I know Mt Rogers outfitters and sunddog outfitters in Damascus have them..
