I'm going to have to stay close to home. My wife has the car at her sister's and I'd have to walk to get somewhere to hike ... hmm.

Did 9.4 miles on my local trails in 30* with 30# (ballasted with extra water to make up for food weigh). It as a great day sunny and blue. Wore Icebreaker 200 base layer with down jacket and was fine, unzipped on the uphills. Needed my YakTrax on the more used packed down and icy trails - yes, I know MicroSpikes are better but Santa didn't read my entire list.
