A Milestone

[Odd Man Out]

Here it is, my post #3000. It took a while. My activity here waxes and wanes from time to time. Sad to say my hiking calendar may be thin this year. Work and life are interfering, but in a good way. I may be able to get to the UP of MI in early to mid June (Pictured Rocks or Porcupine Mtns), but I worry the bugs would make that intolerable. Anyone have experience up there that time of year? Of course for this to stay my post #3000, I would have to stop posting. Hmmm

I have hiked Pictured Rocks during that time. Yes, bugs are bad. We went inside our tents before dusk to avoid them. Used plenty of Deet that trip!
