Everything has weight, but at 1 oz. for the Hadron S in XL it needn't have much weight. I loved mine for my Maine section hike last September, using it around camp on nippy 35-degree mornings and overnight when the hood of my sleeping bag was too warm. Plus, it was just large enough that I could pull it down over my eyes to keep the early morning light from waking me up!
I've had my BlackRock hat for two years now. Love it! Well made, comfortable to wear, very warm, super light.
