Can someone please confirm that there is a PO at 172 Main St in Caratunk for a mail drop? There is a phone number but it just rings and rings....

Have not heard of the PO closing, but 2015 AWOL Guide says hours are from 2-4PM Monday - Friday.

I would maildrop to nearby Sterling Inn..really good people and hiker friendly. http://www.mainesterlinginn.com/

And don't send it too far in advance. These small PO don't have much room to store boxes.

The house next door to the Caratunk post office burned down and the post office sustained damage. I don't know if they closed the post office.
