Seems like most of this section is a road walk is it more asphalt or is it woods road?

Most of it is either paved or gravel, about half each. Only a small amount near the Mason-Dixon line could qualify as a woods road.

I had very little traffic in this section N of the C&O Canal on a Wednesday. The following day there was fairly heavy traffic on paved River Rd along the Potomac south of Hancock.
River Rd is a major shortcut from the Martinsburg area to the rest of the state (or at least to WVU).
