Definitely a luxury item...but it's on sale today for only $12.73. Wanted to pass it along.

Thanks. Almost pulled the trigger on it, but the Sea to Summit pillow looks so much more comfortable. Have a good one.

My last backpacking trip I went on, I took the full size pillow off my bed and stuffed it in my pack.
Took up some room but man I slept great!

my pack (great for section hikes, likely doable for a lightweight thru-hiker) is also on sale. I love my flash 45 and it was a great price at 119. Even better now at 89 in the outlet!

Thanks for sharing this @linus72. I had to get it! I chose the large. Can't beat it at $89....50 liters...2 pounds 4 oz. Well, maybe something can beat it but I couldn't be happier. Thanks again.

Awesome! Yeah I love mine. I love the mesh pocket - i cram so much stuff in there I need/want easy access to without having to open up the pack all day long. Its light and comfortable - you definitely got a good deal! See what i mean ?! (yes, that IS wine... hey its was just a weekend section!) http://whiteblaze.net/forum/vbg/files/5/4/4/2/5/atwithpack_thumb.jpg (http://whiteblaze.net/forum/vbg/showimage.php?i=60788)

:-) Will do. I'm excited about it...It *should* have been delivered yesterday. Current USPS status "In Transit - Delayed" (sad trombone sound here). Looking forward to it though!

It arrived! First impression is great. I'm not used to lightweight packs so I had an initial moment of shock. Put my huge -30F bag in it to fill it out and have a fit test. Fits me great...hopefully can test it in the field this weekend.

I bought one a while back and returned it for a Sea to Summit, which is good, not great.

at $89, its hard to beat. glad the weather is warming. doing some day hiking in Harpers ferry in 2 weeks and more and more excited for my NY hike a month later. Picked up a Patagonia Houdini half price over the weekend and my wife was like 'what do you need another jacket for?' lol - that's a silly question! cant wait to give that a go.

Day-hiked the Coosa Backcountry yesterday with the REI Flash. Not a lot a weight in it but zero complaints. I think I'm really going to like it. I'll take it on the Georgia Loop in April for sure. That'll be a great test.

Anyone have a max weight limit on the Flash 45 large? Couldn't find it online at REI.

I can't find an official answer either but from everything I've read...about 30 lbs is where you wanna be. Maybe 35 max...
