This is an off topic question to someone from Seattle.
My son needs to get from the airport to Woodinville in about 6 weeks. looks like it's a fair distance. What are the transportation options? Less expensive is a good thing. PM me and I'll send you my email address.

take sound transit from seatac (the bus)
it is about 1 hr 15 min

Those of us who live in the Seattle area are probably the least qualified to answer, because we don't tend to use those travel options. When I fly into Seattle, my pickup truck is waiting for me at the airport.

We do it all the time, it's easy. Plan the trip using the Metro Transit Trip Planner for your specific time.

They will tell you to take the light rail from the airport to downtown, then the Sound Transit 522 out to Woodinville.

Easy Peasy. Costs about $5. Takes between 1-2 hours.
Beats driving.
