Does the AT still go right by the Nolinchucky Gorge campground in NC, near Erwin? I stayed there in 2009 ending my section hike and wanted to stay there again to pick up the hike. It was so convenient for a section hike, since we could easily leave our car there, and have a shower at the end. I tried to go to the website but my Mcaffee web advisor suggested that it was a risky site ( not sure why) so did not try to view it. i'm hoping someone here can tell me what I need to know, and who to contact. Also, can anyone suggest a shuttle for the area between the campground and Devil Fork Gap.

yes. 10K for shuttle
If you have the time/interest, take a raft trip down the Nolichucky. Outfitters guide, good whitewater, nice day off trail with great energy.

I did a drive-by of the Nolichucky Gorge Campground in early June 2014 in order to show my wife the location and setting. They were up and running then. To the best of my knowledge, the AT still turns up out of the Gorge right by the CG.
