I want a map(s) that will not only show me the trail, but routes to shelters / towns as well. Is there such a thing? Post links if you have them please!

Standard ATC maps show trail, contours, profile, shelters, water sources and towns if close enough.

I can't imagine a map the size of a smart phone screen to be very usefull, am I wrong?
And don't forget most folks carry AWOL's book.

I have Guthook and Ihike GPS, you can download USFS USGS maps from Ihike app, those maps show anything within their area. I used Guthook two weeks ago in TN NC and loved the GPS button, easily got accurate distance to next campsite

Unless CF was asking about the Deep Gap at Groundhog Creek Shelter, or the Deep Gap in TN, or the Deep Gap in VA, etc.
