resupply options in Va.

Sorry to add to the resupplying threads recently about the commonwealth of Va. Trying to get my mileage and supply needs straight for Damascus to Buena Vista in June.

I think I have everything in order except resupplying in Newport. I would have to do that at the PO. My concern is the 9 miles off the trail, and resupplying at the post office for obvious reasons

I have rotten luck getting hitches. Does anybody know of a shuttle driver in the area?

I do have awols book and have used it to plan before.

In my attempt to go lighter I'm trying not to carry more than 4 days worth of food. I have done 8 days before but if I can go lighter.........that is great.

Any suggestions would be appreciated and very helpful.

Any information about this area is appreciated.

I have looked at the ATC for information and this area is sticking out like a sore thumb. Have others resupplied there. Is it a easy hitch?
